Projects & Initiatives Site Policy

TLC drivers, please use the map below to suggest a curbside (on-street) Level 2 charger location. Please provide as much detail as possible about why it would make a good location.

Level 2 chargers provide about 25 miles of range per hour of charging, and are best for locations where you might park for a few hours to overnight. For more information on curbside charging in New York City, go here.

I’ve been driving tesla model y for tlc, there’s no charger anywhere closeby to me, i have to drive 30 mins just to go for charging, if DOT install a charger at this location or anywhere closeby, it could be game changer for me. Thank you

Pedestrian And Bike Path Link - Kissena Park Velodrome Bike Path - Booth Memorial Ave

This should be the parking lot of Kissena park. The location inside is very large, but the utilization rate is not high, and there are basically no cars parked in it. If a charging station is installed in this parking lot, many nearby residents and tenants can charge here.

As a tlc EV DRIVER TIME IS MONEY. WE NEED FAST CHARGERS LIKE TESLA SUPERCHARGERS. Those fill up EV battery’s in 30min from empty!!!
