Linden Boulevard

Project Overview

DOT is planning to make improvements on a 3.8 mile stretch of Linden Blvd in Brooklyn (from Kings Hwy to 78th St). The corridor ranks in the top 10% of Brooklyn corridors by KSI (killed or severely injured) crashes per mile among pedestrians, bicyclists and motor vehicle occupants. Since 2009, there have been seven traffic fatalities on the corridor. Through an inclusive community planning process, DOT hopes to make improvements which will: calm speeding vehicles, provide better pedestrian facilities, allow more crossing time for pedestrians, and allow safer and simpler left turns.
