North Conduit Ave - Belt Parkway Wb En Lefferts Blvd - Lefferts Boulevard

Please make the exit ramp easier accessible for through traffic, countless times do i see people trying merge onto this exit from the middle lane causing unnecessary traffic and high probability of collisions. This exit should be BEFORE the stop light and have a long exit to give more drivers an easier flow into the exit rather than a sharp left turn. 50% of the drivers on this conduit are following the GPS that indicates they NEED to merge at this exit to reach their destination. These drivers will do what ever is necessary to make this exit and risk an accident and would care less about causing traffic for other drivers. Make this exit longer and before the stop light.

The photo at https://www.nyc.gov/html/dot/html/about/conduit-corridor.shtml shows a traffic violation since pavement markings may only be used as a SUPPLEMENT to lawful signs. Please arrange for a summons to be issued to those who ordered the markings as well as those who installed them.

Cross Bay Boulevard - Belt Parkway Exit 17 South Wb - Belt Py Eb En Cross Bay Blvd Sb

Cross bay blvd is not bike friendly at all and 4 lanes of traffic each way seems excessive. We need a protected bike lane to make it safer for people trying to bike to the beach or to just cross over Conduit from central Queens.

Turning the median into a greenway with separated pedestrian and bike paths is a genius idea. The eastbound merge/exit to Cross Bay Blvd should also be redesigned to be easier and less confusing for drivers. Simply narrowing the lanes so that drivers go slower would make this safer and easier.

Clean up this triangle and make into a useable green space.

Adding a protected bike lane along Conduit Ave (or in the median) and connecting it to Highland Park / Forest Park would help to serve a great connector from Western Queens and Brooklyn. I frequently bike to JFK from Ridgewood when renting cars for weekend trips and this would make that commute so much safer.

Some people have no choice but to bike, safety of the people that live here should come before the convenience of a few drivers that don't even live here.

A two way protected bike lane coming from highland park would increase bike access between the park and the conduit

The median should be used for divided traffic of the original highway plan. If grade separated and, in a tunnel, this would be safer for pedestrians. If not a tunnel, it can be capped with a park. The Conduit needs to maintain part of the original highway plan as it is one of Brooklyn's few non-congested truck corridors. If the highway option isnt studied, Conduti should be left alone with pedestrian bridges built at key intersections.
