From 2019 to 2022, NYC DOT has continued implementing pedestrian safety and traffic calming improvements on Linden Blvd in Brooklyn. The pedestrian improvements include installing concrete median refuge spaces, which give pedestrians a safe place to wait. Traffic calming improvements discourage speeding and unpredictable movements, and ensure that vehicles turn more slowly and safely. Since 2019, NYC DOT has constructed over 20 improved median/median tips at 8 intersections on Linden Blvd.
