This is where bikes would be beneficial for the community because they can use them to ride around the neighborhood park or go to school, which is IS61 or other HS.
this would be a great area to have citi bikes because it will make it easier to move around the neighborhood and get groceries or visit family or friends
Perfect location for citi bike. Easily accessible and does not interfere with sidewalk use or vehicle traffic.
I would put a station on 78th street as there is no parking on this street. However, I would put the station towards the 78th Street/ 35th ave corner so that it is not in front of any main entrance. The bike station should not be in front of the Amherst (3440 78th street) or Dunnolly Building (34-41 78th street)
Close enough to the train, but can service those in the mid to high eighties that could use a bike to get to transit as we are located a bit far from the subway.
I would put the citi bike station on the bike plaza. Tons of space and spacious.
Great area. Very central and does not have a lot of traffic to allow for easy bike access.
Can't wait for Citi Bike to come to Jackson Heights/Travers Park! I am a car owner, and always have been, born and raised in NY, and have no idea why these NIMBYs think they deserve the spot more than a bike share. I would love to have access to a bike for short trips to Astoria, Woodside and all the surrounding neighborhoods!
A good spot for bikes because it is near the church and many can use it for transportation
