This feedback map is for the 2023 Queens Citi Bike expansion, which focuses on Queens Community Boards 3 and 4. Neighborhoods in this area include Jackson Heights, Corona, Elmhurst, and East Elmhurst.

Recently, NYC DOT presented the draft plan presentations for Community Board 3 (PDF) and Community Board 4 (PDF). These maps show the planned locations for Citi Bike stations within these districts. The hectic Junction Blvd is a mess, but there are plenty of places to go eat and should not be ignored.

34 Ave - 94 St - Junction Boulevard

There is already way too much obstruction (planters, bike racks, bollards, gates, etc.) and congestion (heavy traffic) at this intersection. A station here would only restrict flow of *all* traffic -- foot traffic, bike/scooter traffic, car traffic. Also, this corner (Northwest corner of 34th ave at Junction Blvd.) is strictly residential and not really appropriate.

83 St - 35 Ave - 37 Ave

This is an excellent location for a Citibike rack. There are a number of apartments and people who would benefit. Also the block already has restricted parking, so the loss of parking would be minimal.
