Red Light Running
Red Light Running
Archer Ave - 158 St - 153 St

Motor Vehicles often ignore this traffic light especially when red during peak hours in the afternoon. Pedestrians often cross this street, but also need to avoid cars that frequently ignore traffic laws and lights. Commuter vans are usually parked in the middle here which will also contribute to the traffic congestion on archer avenue and the bus terminal.

Sidewalk narrowed too much with big objects placed at either end. Not even enough room for a wheelchair to pass by!

Merrick Blvd is already heavily cycled - check the Strava map of Queens. It would be good to add some lanes here to make it safer and calmer

A bike lane on Dunkirk would connect downtown with Southern Queens

Coolidge and Hoover Bike lanes should be extended to Parsons

Utopia Parkway - St Johns University Driveway - 80 Drive

Utopia bike lane ends at 26th Ave, lots of cyclists use this street - it would be good if we had a bike lane the entire length of Utopia

Once Queens Blvd Bike lane is completed, folks who want to get to the LIRR station are going to be stymied. It would be great if there were a connector to the LIRR from the end of the Queens Blvd Bike lane. Perhaps along Archer

The only way from / to Jamaica now is on Parsons - which takes you up a hill, along a curve, on a sharrow - that is not fun even for an experienced cyclist. Some kind of upgrade is needed here - maybe a protected bike lane.
