I have always gotten turned around when trying to ride from Queens to Eastern Parkway to get to Prospect Park. It’s hard to tell if the road you’re picking goes West or South.
This a major route down to the Jamaica Bay Greenway but there’s nothing at this intersection to direct cyclists to make the left and nothing to alter drivers to expect cyclist left turns.
This is an absolutely evil Greenway treatment. Drivers DO NOT yield. Off-setting the bike crossing cedes the space to cars and forces cyclists to cross right where drivers are gunning it to get up to highway speed, rather than keeping us front and center across the mouth of the onramp. Hate this reconfiguration.
It would be nice if there was a good bike route from East New York to JFK Airport.
It would be great if there was a shared bike+pedestrian path here. As of now, there's nowhere to walk or bike safely.
There needs to be Bus Prioritization on this corridor. Just rode the B15 through here and it goes quite slowly through here. Bus lanes, cue jumps, all door boarding should be implemented to move heavily depended upon buses faster for this community.
Entrance to Highland Park greenway should be better marked
Add bike path to giant Conduit Blvd median.
Upgrade to protected bike lanes on super-wide two lane residential street.
Unprotected bike lanes invite double parking. At 60' wide and just one car lane in each direction, Highland Blvd has more than enough room to have protected bike lanes on each side.
