Crossing both sides of Meeker with the crosswalk lights requires waiting two full cycles of lights, which is like 2-3 minutes.
Please add dedicated two way bike lanes to make it possible to ride from queens over K bridge all the way into Manhattan over W bridge via fully protected, dedicated bike and pedestrian lanes
Please install a two-way protected bike path on the east curb of Vandervoort Avenue to connect the K-Bridge to Grand Street.
Protected bike path under the BQE now!
Install a parking or jersey barrier protected bike path here, please!
This is about to become an extremely unsafe conflict point for people bicycling and walking off the K-Bridge bike & pedestrian path. Please close this slip lane exit to cars/trucks in advance of the path opening, then allow bikes and peds to continue from the bridge next to Meeker, across Vandervoort/Apollo onto a physically protected bike path on Meeker, then onto a bike path under the BQE.
Drivers exiting the BQE continue to make a right off the exit ramp either onto Union Ave or to get onto North 8th Street. More needs to be done to prevent these illegal turns and maneuvers by drivers.
This section of Humboldt is a high-speed area for cars exiting the BQE and heading South towards grand street. A stop sign at Richardson would greatly alleviate the danger of crossing Humboldt for pedestrians with children and seniors.
Please revitalize the space under the BQE with a protected bike path, lighting and greenery to bring this space to life and provide a safe biking route to the new K-bridge bike path!
