Trucks large and small speed on this street. Tractor trailers often park here overnight.

narrow road
Trucks still making an illegal left turn on Hunts Point Ave from the Southern Blvd bus lane. Hasn't been any enforcement. They ignore the bus lane paint and no left turn signage. Ends up jamming up the intersection even worse when they do.
Eastbound trucks love to speed here
Reduced-capacity Dean St often blocked
USPS illegally parking on the sidewalk
Often blocked.
Flexible reflectors removed, so this bike lane is again exposed to both normal illegal sidewalk parking and occasional blocking by trucks. Concrete barriers (as on Flushing section of this bike path) needed.
Various times/occurrences. Needs concrete barriers.
This block is also a mess of double parking.
Trucks double park here frequently, blocking traffic, reducing two-way street to one-way in the best case. Often traffic becomes deadlocked as some attempt to turn onto Metropolitian but are blocked by other-direction traffic stuck behind parked truck
Two-way bike lane w/ reflector separators still has FedEx trucks often parking in it.
Bike lane towards Williamsburg bridge is often blocked.
Fire/ambulance vehicles make this a hazardous area for cyclists when there are also trucks present.
Same issue as by Metropolitian & Morgan intersection; truckers will park all day.
Trucks occasionally park here (when the space is not occupied by the U-Haul vehicles) for several hours possibly when drivers are sleeping?
Trucks attempting to park in the bike lane threaten to crush cyclists in the bike lane.
Neither pedestrians nor trucks take the signals at this intersection very seriously.
Turning truck from Bushwick on to Grand heading East caused a cyclist death. Not sure if the turn was illegal or not.
Truck-cyclist collision death here due to narrow roadway + speeding trucks.
Trucks turning on to Metropolitan often enter the oncoming lane and threaten pedestrians.
Narrow roadway for trucks and no cycle path. There is parking on both sides though? Remove a parking lane = bike lane + extra space for trucks!
Super dangerous for cyclists on this street due to a variety of truck-related issues; deliveries, trucks parked in the oncoming lane, speeding trucks, etc.
Every day all along Grand Ave trucks block the bike lane on both sides.
Every day all along Grand Ave trucks block the bike lane on both sides.
Every day all along Grand.
Trucks coming off the stop light at Morgan & Metropolitan race down Metropolitan towards the BQE.
Trucks drive here all the time and it is not a truck route
Trucks are always driving on Ralph Av to and from the terminal market. Its not a truck route here.
Trucks use Clarendon Road and it is not a truck route.
Trucks use clarendon road and it is not a truck route.
There is a low overpass of 12 feet here and trucks always hit it or are forced to back up causing a dangerous condition.
Trucks use 23 Avenue and it is not a truck route.
This street is too narrow and busy to accommodate the heavy trucks traffic it regularly experiences.
Observed 18 wheel truck speed through Caton Ave red light and nearly T-bone an SUV.
18 wheeler trucks continue to rumble down Caton Avenue when they belong on the THROUGH route on nearby Church Avenue
Illegal trucks are speeding down Caton Avenue after dark and blast their horns as they run the red light at the intersection of Coney Island Ave and Caton Ave.
Trucks making left turn on to Tiffany St from southbound Bruckner Blvd are destroying the pedestrian island. If someone stands there, they will be crushed as the back tires often roll over it. Please add another bollard to the side closest to the turning traffic, so truck drivers turn more responsibility.
Illegal 53 foot tractor trailers speeding on Meeker ave
Although Caton Ave is a Truck Route, St. Paul's to Coney Island Ave is residential block and more should be done to move the truck lane elsewhere to protect lung health of the local community. The smoggy smell on Caton Avenue is oppressive from the idling of trucks at red lights.
Always has vehicles parked here for deliveries, picking up people or just hanging out.
NYPD vehicles and trucks park in the bike lane here, causing cyclists to swerve out into traffic
Delivery trucks blocking the bike lane every day, causing cyclists to swerve out into traffic
Yesterday and Today, trucks have made difficult turned one caught a flat tire, today a truck got stuck on the sidewalk
Roadway is too short
test
Because vehicles can no longer turn right from southbound Flatbush onto westbound Schermerhorn, trucks make a right turn earlier from SB Flatbush onto narrow Nevins Street. Then, they have trouble turning right onto Schermerhorn two blocks further down Nevins. Traffic is always backed up on Nevins because a change in the traffic pattern removed the ability to turn right from SB Flatbush onto WB Schermerhorn. New housing and hotel developments are drawing more traffic to Schermerhorn. DOT should reconsider restoring the ability to turn right onto Schermerhorn from SB Flatbush.
Taxis wait in the "No Standing" zone and so trucks cannot make it through this narrow street.
Many trucks use Patchen Ave even though it is not a truck route.
Trucks keep trying to turn here when they can't.
issues with double parked trucks stationed for hours on 5th ave.
Excessive off-route truck traffic on 52nd st and other eastbound residential streets in the area. no t just big box trucks but tons of 18 wheelers as well.
Every day coffee truck is parked in bike lane /bus stop
Signs indicate all trucks must take the tunnel, but truck route signs on 1st at 42nd also indicate that trucks can make a left turn there. Both can't be right.
Tons of off-route trucks on Bergen St
Fresh Direct uses this intersection as a staging area always blocking bike lane.
Trucks do not respect center running bike lane, creating a very hazardous situation.
Trucks heading to tunnel block box and crosswalks every afternoon.
Box truck driver turning right onto Broadway struck and killed person on bike in September 2017. https://nyc.streetsblog.org/2017/09/15/nypd-no-criminality-suspected-after-turning-box-truck-driver-kills-cyclist-in-tribeca/
Delivery trucks are always stopped in the Tillary St bike lane.
Lots of off-route trucks on 6th Ave endanger people on bikes. James Gregg was killed here by a off-route truck in April 2016.
No sidewalk here but conflicts with trucks or other vehicles because pedestrians use street.
Trucks and city buses in this area create way too much pollution f or the surrounding pedestrians such as myself. It appears that diesel trucks have to be banned from these areas in order to reduce the Environmental damage and terrible air quality. I don't even want to breathe in this area when I walk around it. Either trucks have to be switched to alternative fuels or they have to be banned. City buses are also major disturbance to air quality
Very heavy truck traffic despite not truck sign. MOst trucks are not delivering locally just inflow from waterfront businesses. More needs to be done to enable and enforce the use of designated truck rotes.
There used to be a tree here, until an 18 wheeler took out the tree trying to make a turn onto Kent Ave. 18 wheelers have no place on our local, residential, mixed use streets. The truck that took out this tree blocked the entirety of Kent Ave preventing pedestrians, cyclists, buses and more from getting through. Kent & Franklin should not be a truck route for drivers looking to get around traffic on the BQE!
Franklin Street is no place for trucks! It's insane that this is a truck route. Franklin is a vibrant street with heavy pedestrian and bicycle traffic. Trucks of all sorts create deadly conflicts here. Space on this street needs to be reallocated to put people first. Another person shouldn't have to die for these changes to be made.
There are many times that 18 wheeler big rig trucks are blatantly parked in the "protected" bike lane on Kent Ave while doing deliveries.
18 wheeler big rig trucks constantly take illegal non-truck routes to get to Kent Ave. When they try and turn onto Kent, they typically get stuck as they are unable to make the turn. A lot of times trucks will block the entire width of Kent Av preventing buses, pedestrians, cyclists, emergency services and motorists from getting through at all.
Trucks are double parked and cause roads to be completely blocked. This results in cars unable to pass and consistent honking
Trucks turning left on Kingsland Avenue on to Maspeth Avenue are unable to make this turn. They should be redirected to avoid Kingsland/Maspeth and stay on Morgan Avenue.
Large rig semi trucks constantly speeding down Maspeth Ave between Kingsland and Morgan Avenues. Dangerous for the children visiting the park and at Carrig Montessori. Also a ridiculous amount of noise created from trucks hitting the speed bumps.
A massive US Foods semi truck going way too close to the sidewalk collided with the large tree here, knocking it over onto the street. The falling tree could easily have killed someone, and now the tree itself is dead and there is just a stump there.
Trucks and buses CONSTANTLY parked inside the new concrete barrier separated bicycle lane. Please install flex post at the entrances to these citywide!
Failure to yield to peds.
Trucks fail to yield to pedestrians here when turning right (east) off north bound Bruckner.
Trucks and other vehicles constantly parked in bicycle lane at this location. Flex posts would be great.
Trucks constantly double parked at this corner, and creates a blind spot for turning vehicles.
Trucks, bicyclists, pedestrians and illegally parked vehicles in constant conflict along this stretch. The U-haul business hear placed their ad sign smack in the middle of the sidewalk too. Trucks parked on sidewalk or not yielding to peds/bikes. Always illegally parked cars at the adjacent repair business.
On the Queens side of Myrtle it is a "Through" route, but on the Brooklyn side it's a "Local" route, Myrtle in Ridgewood and Glendale should be a "Local" truck route.
Many pedestrians cross Laight st to the Hudson River park. Cars and Trucks making a left on West st. Heading south often speed and don't slow down for pedestrians crossing. No vehicles should be allowed to turn left in this area. Families with children are fearful
Speed hum/neighborhood slow zone do nothing to stop off-route FedEx/UPS trucks from speeding down St Lukes to reach their depots on Greenwich/Washington
FedEx/UPS trucks go off truck routes and cut through St. Lukes Pl from 7th Ave to reach their depots on Greenwich/Washington
Trucks & vans always parked on painted pedestrian island on east side of 1st @ 27th St. Zero enforcement.
Truck often parked on painted sidewalk extension in front of hardware store
Tractor-trailers making deliveries to Pintchick hardware often block bike lane
Dangerous conflict between bikers and trucks turning right onto Tillary from NB Jay. Construction has blocked part of turn lane so truck often make wide turns form center lane. A biker was run over and almost killed this way on 10/11/2016. http://nyc.streetsblog.org/2016/10/11/truck-driver-severely-injures-cyclist-in-downtown-brooklyn/
There is No Trucks except local deliveries sign facing south on 5th Ave at Dean St, but the local truck route on 5th Ave extends one block further to Bergen. The sign should be moved to 5th Ave at Bergen where all trucks except local deliveries must turn right (and head west).
Right turns from 5th Av to Flatbush are banned, but truck route sign with arrows point left and right could make truck drivers think they can turn right.
Lots of trucks drive down Dean between 3rd Ave (a truck route) and 4th Ave (a truck route) without making a delivery. Clearly illegal.
I live on Purves Street. Because of the construction, there are constantly trucks and construction worker cars parked on Purves even though there are no parking signs. There are also UPS, FreshDirect, USPS, etc. It is also a dead end street. The street is narrow, so if any cars park the cars and trucks have to maneuver slowly through. The cars and trucks frequently have to make difficult three point turns at the dead end. There is a residential garage at the end of Purves and it is also frequently blocked. There's sometimes no way for the trucks to go, so sometimes that either (1) block up Jackson Avenue idling or (2) drive up on the Purves sidewalk. There are ALOT more residents these days are Purves.
Large trucks are frequently unable to make the right from Thomson Avenue onto Jackson Avenue because vehicles are parked in front of the businesses on Jackson Avenue. When it is exceptionally large trucks, they have to keeping back up and back in to try to squeeze by. This blocks up traffic on Jackson and Thomson and may cause damage to people's cars.
This intersection is impossible for pedestrians to cross as the closest traffic lights are too far apart. There is a desperate need of a traffic light here. Cars and trucks speed past this intersection all day long. Heavy truck traffic also causing many accidents.
there are no stop signs so trucks use this internal road
Delivery trucks are frequently double parked here, making for dangerous biking and driving conditions and low visibility for crossing pedestrians. Need more dedicated loading/unloading zones here!
Contractor vehicles and delivery trucks, as well as UPS/USPS/FedEx are double parked throughout the day. Street sweeping often does not occur because of double parked traffic. Street sweeping should be reduced to once a week for each side of street.
Trucks go way, way over the speed limit all day along 20th Street. I'm afraid to take my daughter out for walks. They honk all day too, and life here is miserable for us.
