Dangerous crossing here with a blind curve to the south which northbound drivers take at speed. Southbound drivers also speed around the curve because the bike lane has no barrier here, so they use it as extra space to take a wide fast curve. Put up more jersey barriers here and a light at this intersection.
The sidewalk and bike lane design along the western edge of Vernon Blvd here is ridiculous, and there is plenty of room to make it safe. You simply cannot have the sidewalk (which narrows considerably at this corner) also suddenly become a bike lane with minimal signage. Design this intersection for safety, with a bike lane in the street, separated from pedestrian traffic.
The businesses here always block the sidewalk, forcing people to walk in the street
Work with CitiBike to place docks in the road right next to the subway entrance
Northbound cars turning right from Vernon to Broadway often miss the the second light (broadway and vernon) after the costco light and miss the 11th st / broadway light as well. This is especially dangerous because that turn has limited visibility to 11th st when turning from Vernon to Broadway. This makes crossing from Socrates park and using the light coming from 11st to Broadway dangerous.
A crosswalk is desperately needed on 21 St and 33rd Rd. There is no crosswalk for a huge stretch and I’ve seen children running across the street. It’s incredibly dangerous.
This bus stop (and entire bus route) is way overcrowded during rush hour. Cars often illegally double park in or in front of the stop, slowing things down further. Plus, there are too many people to all board one-by-one in a timely fashion. To solve these issues, we need dedicated bus lanes and all-door boarding.
east of 21st street I NEVER cross hoyt ave S in the crosswalk due to aggressive drivers and poor lines of sight. midblock is almost always the safest place to cross.
Cars speed too much here. Make the street a safe bike lane so you can go to the park from 31 Ave.
turning motorists frequently don't see/nearly hit/drive past pedestrians in crosswalk
