a new Amazon distribution center is opening. It will add tremendous traffic to an already overburdened street. How is DOT's planning including this increase in traffic? Can DOT prevent this facility from allowing ingress and egress via 21st street?

Are you considering adding protected bike lanes along with bus lanes? This is such a wide street, and as others have noted, speeding is a common issue. If it could be narrowed while enhancing bus performance and making cycling safer, it would be an improvement for everyone.

21 St - 33 Rd - 34 Ave

Seriously, this is a very long stretch of road with no crosswalks, despite the fact that there are thru roads on the east side of 21st St. that people walking on the west side of 21st St. would like to be able to get to. Plus, there's a shopping plaza right here that is cutoff to anyone who doesn't want to play frogger.

26 Ave - 18 St - 21 St

Both signal phases are way too long - it takes far too long to get the light to change to cross on foot, but also it stays green for way too long. Cut both phases in half so there is more frequent, but shorter walk cycles.

The wide design of both these roads encourages speeding. 21st St generally has enough traffic to keep speeds reasonable at rush hours, but off-hours and at all times on Hoyt Ave S, the road is tailor-made for speeding and people do, constantly.

The bike lane on this block is horrifically dangerous. Better not to have it there at all than to paint a single line on the ground and pretend that's safe infrastructure. Drivers treat it as a turn lane. Build an actual protected connection to Hoyt Av S here.

Both streets are incredibly wide, Hoyt Av S especially is unnecessarily wide. Everyone is making turns here - some restrictions and visibility design improvements are needed to avoid turn conflict with pedestrians. The painted islands don't work. All the delineators have been destroyed by cars.

25 Rd - 21 St - 22 St

Not being able to cross here, at 22nd St across Astoria Blvd, or 25th Road at 23rd St entirely cuts off this micro-neighborhood for pedestrians. There is no way to get directly to anything across any of those streets without going out of the way.
