Double Parking
Double Parking
21 St - Astoria Boulevard - 27 Rd

Cars are constantly double parked near this garage causing a back up of traffic, especially for the busses

Blocking the Box
Blocking the Box
Astoria Boulevard - 18 St - Newtown Ave

Plenty of waiting in the middle of the intersection to turn left, which creates cascading problems through the light cycle making pedestrian crossing dangerous.

Aggressive Drivers
Aggressive Drivers
21 St - Astoria Boulevard - 27 Rd

Aggressive driving is the norm for this entire street, but this intersection provides unique opportunity for their aggression to be deadly. Creeping into crosswalks, running reds, blind right turns, it's all here.

Dangerous Left Turn
Dangerous Left Turn
21 St - Astoria Boulevard - 27 Rd

Constant conflicts with pedestrians right of way here, in all directions.

Crowded Bus Stop
Crowded Bus Stop
21 St - 40 Ave - 41 Ave

Northbound bus stop especially gets very overcrowded in the evening rush hour and the sidewalk is already narrow here. Much more space and covered facilities needed for waiting in the rain. Area feels sketchy as well due to the overcrowding and lack of well-lit bus stop facilities for a major transfer station.

Bikes shouldn't have to ride up onto the sidewalk here, conflicting with pedestrians. Create fully separate bike facilities at this intersection.

Long walk to a crosswalk from this intersection.

An example of dividing the two neighborhoods - this should be a crossable spot, rather than having to walk a block in either direction.
