We need a safe biking route from redhook / southern carroll gardens across the gowanus canal, and connecting to the waterfront. 9th st is too far away!
We need to fix the bike and pedestrian access at the top of the project area, up by the Home Depot. There should be a better bike access through there, but its kind of crap.
We need protected bike lanes from 4th ave over to the Greenway! It goes down to sharrows as it gets to 2nd ave. Now is the time to put them in!
The pedestrian crossing under the BQE sucks. The lights are timed way too long, and the underpass is dirty and full of dirty cars just being stored there. This could be so much nicer!
There's no good route from the 4th ave bike lanes to Industry City on bike. We need protected lanes to this important destination, as well as onward down the waterfront. There are a few lanes by the costco! But these need to be connected down to Bush Terminal Park.
The drive-thru at Dunkin Donuts should be closed. Aggressive drivers turn into sidewalk and into driveway without looking or slowing down. When there’s a line the sidewalk gets blocked.
The sidewalk on this block is complete blocked by cars belonging to cops at the 72 Pct. Sidewalks need bollards to keep corrupt and lazy cops from parking on them
There is a left-turn-only lane on Prospect Ave. that’s supposed to be for drivers turning onto Third Ave. However, nearly every driver who uses this lane uses it to get to the BQE entrance creating a dangerous bottleneck that backs up traffic.
Third Ave runs next to a residential neighborhood filled with schools and churches. It needs a protected bike lane
The clowns who own Jimmy’s Tire shop frequently shut down Third Ave to do burnouts and donuts. They post all of this on their Instagram feed.
