Furman Street should be a protected bike lane thoroughfare—Brooklyn Bridge Park is frequently very crowded, and biking through the park is therefore dangerous to both bikers and pedestrians!
Please use the map below to leave comments on potential pain points and/or opportunities for BQE Central, the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway between Atlantic Ave and Sands St. You can choose to leave a comment directly on the map or through an accessible form upon choosing a category.

There should be pedestrian access to the park from here--the highway should not cut off the park from the people!
Walking under here always feels unsafe because it's so dark. Turning cars are super aggressive and there's a lot of bird poop. I bet the proximity to parks is causing a lot of asthma, too.
This area is a pedestrian nightmare. I'm always nervous about getting hit by a car. One of the nearby streets only has a yield sign for turning cars, and the cars never yield properly.
Put all of this under the ground so we can have the land back.
Extremely unsafe pedestrian crossing, close this entrance ramp to the BQE entirely and convert to a public plaza. Ramp closure would reduce traffic volumes on Atlantic Avenue.
Add barrier protection to bike lane along Navy St to safely segregate from BQE traffic
Add bollards to protect sidewalks from rampant NYPD and FDNY illegal parking
Add barrier protection for bike lane along Jay St
Remove this highway.
