This whole cantilevered stretch of the BQE should be put underground. Super noisy, very polluting, and it cuts right through two beautiful parks. Bury it, and ideally also don't widen it, widening it will induce more car traffic when we need less.
Lots of illegally-parked FDNY and NYPD vehicles here. They block the crosswalks and park on the sidewalks, it's very unsafe.
This is a very difficult area to bike through. Cars always block the bike lanes, but this is a primary bike route to BK Bridge Park, which then connects to Atlantic Ave. Can we get a protected bike lane here so it's possible to bike safely?
This intersection is terribly unsafe for pedestrians, of which there are many trying to get to/from BK Bridge Park. Should be redesigned for much better pedestrian safety.

The BQE is essential to the city economy and must be expanded to allow local businesses to survive.
Expand BQE traffic lanes to improve flow and allow vehicle to improve speed and limit pollution.
If anything can be done to give higher vehicle clearance on the BQE here, it would keep large vehicles off of local streets
Resurface entire roadbed; slower speed; paint all exposed steel.
Tear down this entire hideous section of this highway! Should be a public park space that unites Black and Brown neighborhoods with the Brooklyn Navy yard waterfront, with an underground parking garage from Navy Street all the way to Ryerson Street.
