An able-body person needs to race against autos to safely cross here and gain access to under the K park.. A less able person would be unwise to attempt a crossing here. Also dangerous for bicycles
Heavy traffic.
Please add visible lanes for the Left Turn from Apollo Street onto Cherry Street/the Ramp to the BQE. Without visible lanes, people stop at this Stop Light- even when the Light is Green- because they do not know when to turn Left, even though there is enough space for two lanes (one to turn Left onto Cherry) and one to keep Straight to continue on Apollo. Because of this Apollo Street in between Cherry and Nassau Ave. is always heavily congested- and because the Traffic Light is slower to turn Green than most, the backup can get really bad- especially since it is a residential street. Please try and fix this.
Extremely unsafe cross area. Every time I cross here I deliberately make eye contact with a car that's turning so I don't get hit.
This is an incredibly unsafe intersection for pedestrians and cyclists. Cars that are turning onto Meeker are eager to turn and often they're unaware that there are pedestrians in the street.
Unsafe traffic flow, uneven pavement and broken curbs, tons of garbage.
Dangerous to cross via bike - a protected lane (bollards, jersey barriers, concrete curb) would solve this problem.
Dangerous intersection for pedestrians, when there is a green light, there is cars going south at speed on Leonard crossing withers. There should be a pedestrian walk sign and road markings. Cars should not be parked close to the intersection (so there is better visibility).
Cars have no clue how to line up for the left turn and take space efficiently. This creates a backup, and then cars on meeker are doing dangerous passes around.
