Incredibly dangerous crossing for pedestrians and bikers
Incredibly dangerous intersection
INCREASE KENT/WHYTHE EXIT (#31) TRAFFIC FLOW to speed up cars exiting BQE, that currently creates a tremendous backup onto BQE for no other reason! Drivers cut the line aggressively, bunching up into Williamsburg street. That exit flow must be prioritized with LONGER green light cycles for the next 3 intersections, which are currently imbalanced and don't permit enough flow along Williamsburg street, fewer turns, and fewer opportunities to cut lanes!
Exit 31 Wythe Ave desperately needs expansion. It gets backed up for a mile at peak times and drivers often cut into the zebra zone near the exit at the last minute making for unsafe driving conditions.
This is a dangerous intersection where cars cut down Humboldt street to access the on ramp to the west bound bqe. It is dangerous for pedestrians crossing McGuinness and creates speeding traffic down the local Humboldt street.
I would like to see sound barriers added to the highway. Living near the highway can be deafening, and while not much can be done about particulate pollution, noise pollution is something that a simple measure like baffling can mitigate.
very dangerous intersection if you are biking through it. Drivers will run the red light or block the street when there is heavy traffic.
This exit ramp is the first exit in BK and is incredibly heavily used. As a cyclist, there's a transition from separated protected lane to riding alongside traffic in a painted lane. The paint is worn and not super apparent and cars coming off the BQE often enter into the bike lane. By far the most dangerous transition of my 8 mile bike commute, completely due to the BQE exit ramp colliding with bike infrastructure.
I have owned the business on the corner of the Lorimer St/Powers St intersection for ten years. We have witnessed dozens of accidents here, yet there has been no effort made to make it safer. We desperately need to put in a 4-way stop here.
