This exit ramp is the first exit in BK and is incredibly heavily used. As a cyclist, there's a transition from separated protected lane to riding alongside traffic in a painted lane. The paint is worn and not super apparent and cars coming off the BQE often enter into the bike lane. By far the most dangerous transition of my 8 mile bike commute, completely due to the BQE exit ramp colliding with bike infrastructure.

I have owned the business on the corner of the Lorimer St/Powers St intersection for ten years. We have witnessed dozens of accidents here, yet there has been no effort made to make it safer. We desperately need to put in a 4-way stop here.

Excessive sound coming from cars and trucks on the BQE. A sound dampening enclosure is needed in this area to make the park nearby usable.

Lots of cars speed here. The pedestrian crossings are made even more unsafe w/o speeder which have no worry of ever getting stopped and ticketed. A speeding camera system needs to be installed here to prevent accidents.

Union Ave - Meeker Ave - Jackson St

This is an unsafe area for pedestrians having to cross meeker, a BQE exit ramp and Jackson Street all in a small space. Meeker street should be removed in this area since traffic needing to go on to Union can use Jackson Street. And reclaimed as a green space. Currently this area in North Brooklyn is heavily skewed towards making it accessible for cars w/o much consideration for pedestrians.

Unsafe crossing. Lots of cars get off the BQE here and there isn't adequate pedestrian protection in the form of barriers here to prevent accidents. Very unsafe.

Powers St - Hope St - Lorimer St

Drivers use this path (and other cross streets) as a shortcut. Cars speed on this residential street often making it unsafe for residents. A traffic speed hump is needed. Other Brooklyn neighborhoods have them but North Brooklyn does not especially in these location where it's badly needed.

Unsafe intersection is missing a 4 way stop sign. All other intersections up and down Lorimer in this area either have a traffic light or a stop sign and this one does not. The result is that drivers speed through this intersection often, resulting in many accidents.

Union Ave - Conselyea St - Meeker Ave

This intersection is EXTREMELY unsafe. Unmarked. Not wide enough for the pedestrian traffic it services. No pedestrian guardrails to prevent cars from hitting a pedestrian. And impossible to navigate with a stroller (since there aren't any on ramps for example)

Union Ave - Brooklyn Queens Ep Et 32 B Wb - Meeker Ave

This pedestrian crossing is extremely dangerous for a number of reasons. Crosswalks are not clearly painted, and if you're crossing under the BQE, the lights are barely long enough for you to make it all the way across. Additionally, cars turning north onto Meeker don't have a protect left, so they are waiting to cut across oncoming traffic when signal turns yellow - combine this with not having a long enough pedestrian signal and both cars and peds crossing west to east are rushing to make the light, making the area right outside Union Pool incredibly dangerous. Also, cars heading North on Union and turning right onto Meeker always cut the corner and almost run down peds.
