Brooklyn Queens Expressway - Brooklyn Queens Expwy Et 26 Wb - Bqe Wb Entrance Columbia St

This section of the BQE should be capped. It is already below grade and completely divides the neighborhood. Additionally, the access roads along this whole length need more speed control - their alignment and width encourage speeding and make it unsafe to cross for bikes and pedestrians.

Atlantic Ave - Columbia St - Brooklyn Queens Expwy Et 27 Eb

These on and off ramps are horrendous. Incredibly unsafe for pedestrians and cyclists, as well as for drivers. They are always congested, and the queues spill back on to Atlantic and surrounding roadways, bringing the congestion and pollution of the BQE onto local streets. This project needs bold solutions, don't be cowards - take this chance to do something generational.
