Canal St - Washington St - West St

This area of Manhattan needs another bicycling connection to the Hudson River Greenway. Putting a protected bike lane all the way from the Hudson River Greenway to the Manhattan Bridge and beyond to the East River Greenway would protect many many bicycling trips and save lives.

We need a protected bike lane on Canal Street to a) calm traffic, b) equalize mode share vs. road share and c) provide a safe cycling link from two crucial pieces of infrastructure: The Manhattan Bridge and the Hudson River Greenway. Thanks.

This short stretch of road leading into Canal Street is a dangerous pedestrian crossing and should be closed to vehicles and pedestrianized.

Sidewalks should be widened here to make the streets safer for pedestrians and reduce car volume

Blocking the Box

Canal St - Centre St - Lafayette St

Cars are always blocking the box and creating even more congestion when they're in the middle of a crosswalk or intersection during a red light. Traffic enforcement agents have not been able to remediate this
