There is a staggered bike lane turnoff for southbound cyclists turning right onto westbound Pacific St. from Court St. at the southeast corner of Court and Pacific. While good in theory, it is dangerous in design because the gap space before the turning spot is frequently blocked by an illegally parked car, so turning cyclists can't see vehicle traffic coming south. This spot should be hardened by a boulder or bike rack.

The southbound bike lane on Adams moving into traffic and across vehicle lanes, with no protection, poor delineation, many vehicles changing lanes, and cars speding to make the light is very dangerous.

After Schermerhorn was redesigned, the traffic pattern on the west side of Smith at Schermerhorn was not updated, so there are now police and other government vehicles double and triple parked. It is a terrible use of street space that could be used as a loading zone or dedicated ambulance parking so that these vehicles don't otherwise use the Schermerhorn bike lane in front of the courthouse (which they do instead).

Northbound Smith St. has a leading pedestrian and cyclist indicator to allow us to cross Atlantic Ave. before vehicle traffic, but east and westbound vehicle traffic constantly run this red light, making it extremely dangerous. Please install a red light camera here.

The expanded sidewalk/pedestrian zone on the east side of 4th Ave. between Pacific and Atlantic (outside P.C. Richard's) is a good idea in theory, but in reality it has just taken a turn lane from vehicle traffic and turned it into a parked lot for MTA vehicles and city/placarded vehicles. I support more bike and pedestrian space in almost every instance, but the execution here is poor because the dedicated space is just used now to park government vehicles. I would prefer it to be a continuation of the parking protected bike lane on the rest of 4th Ave.

The southbound bike lane from Flatbush to Pacific St. on 4th Ave is one of the most dangerous bike lanes in the city. It is constantly blocked by illegally parked cars and delivery vehicles, isn't protected, and is a key connection point for anyone coming south, who is then forced into extremely heavy vehicle traffic. These two blocks need concrete barriers because there is no parking to even nominally protect the bike lane from vehicles.

Because the Loading Zones on Schermerhorn are always blocked by illegally parked personal vehicles from NYPD Transit District 30 and the MTA, delivery trucks then park in the southbound bike lane on Hoyt St.

The east side of Smith Street from Mia's south to Bergen is constantly blocked by illegally parked cars, which (in combination with legally parked cars on the west side of Smith) make it impossible for busses to turn right from Bergen onto Smith. This then blocks the intersection and backs up traffic in every direction. The street/curbs should be painted red and more signage needs to be installed to make clear parking is illegal here.
