This proposal will limit available parking space and make the area less accommodating to long-time families and the elderly. Given that most of the older and long-time families are black, and much of the bike lobby is white and professional-age--this is helping gentrify Crown Heights. design should prioritize pedestrian safety and bike enforcement. Many bikers bike outside of the bike lanes, even when there is no obstruction of the lane, and I've almost been hit several times when I had the right of way as a pedestrian from bikers not biking in the lane and not obeying traffic laws. I've even seen cyclist run into parked cars because they are riding outside of the lane while texting. Those cars are left damage and with no recourse.

design should be mindful about how many parking spots are removed because there are many elderly residents or residents with disabilities that cannot use bikes, and even when using assess-a-ride there needs to be spots for vehicles to transport less able bodied residents.

Increased bike lanes and many of these DOT redesigns are proposed by individuals who do not live or work in the community. They do research based on manipulated data and look at stats from other cities with more robust and handicap accessible public transportation. These lanes cause an increase of noise, traffic, congestion, pollution and ultimately do not deter drivers. It just increases speed of bikers. To decrease car use, public transit must be a priority - not bike lanes which really only help a small number of individuals on certain days of the year. We had a record breaking winter and bikers could not ride for a majority of the winter.

I am in complete support of the Dean & Bergen Bike Boulevard Project. Like congestion pricing, policies that protect citizens and lead to limiting care traffic in NYC benefits all citizens and encourage people to use public transportation and get rid of or reduce usage of their cars. At the moment, only 13% of Brooklyn surface area prioritizes biking. Biking is the most affordable, healthy and clean form of transport and more people need to be encouraged to use them. Cities in China and Europe understand that our society is healthier, cleaner and more affordable when we use bikes. It is a win, win, win!

Enough with the bike lanes. The court st bike lane is under utilized and causes major traffic issues in cobble hill. This will further disrupt the neighborhood.

Dean St - Bond St - Nevins St

My family is concerned about the bike blvd planned to be installed on Dean ST. The street already has a lot of traffic and we’re plagued by horn honking due to delivered vehicles and other double parked cars. This will make that so much worse. We’re also on the side of the street that the bike lane will be on. We have a 4 yr old and one on the way. The bike traffic is more of a concern for us than car traffic. Bikes and more specifically delivery scooters fly down the street with little regard for pedestrians and now we’re bringing them closer to the side walk. Getting in the car with two kids will be impossible with one side being in the bike lane and the other being in street traffic. There is already a designated bike lane on our portion of Dean ST. I don’t know why this is needed.

This bus route has provided a level of ease and convenience to so many disabled & elderly people whom live in the area, along with people with children. Please do not discontinue this route and consider using an alternate street for a bike route that will not obstruct & reroute this bus stop such as Park Pl, sterling
