This section of Plymouth - between Washington & Adams - needs to be two way so that cars can have an egress route out of the neighborhood. Also - entire neighborhood needs to be considered from the RESIDENTIAL point of view, with the needs of safety and quality of life. There are too many tourists, with busses & limos blocking our streets and polluting our air. Busses need be banned from these narrow streets.

Under the Manhattan bridge - in the Belgian block paved space between York, Pearl, Jay and Prospect streets - There is un-authorized Parking of vehicles from nearby construction crews either working on bldgs being erected, DOT crews or Con Ed workers - it is not fair to residents who need parking and a flagrant violation of laws. Parking can be created for the tourist cars & busses that currently block the streets with non-residents who flood the neighborhood and whose vehicles block streets and whose engines idle, making unwanted noise and air pollution. These tourist vehicles AND large 18 wheel trucks are the vehicles that should be banned from the narrow streets of DUMBO and Vinegar Hill. This unauthorized parking area "perk" for construction crews and city workers who drive instead of taking public transportation can be used to the benefit of people who LIVE in Dumbo and Vinegar Hill - in all areas, please start thinking about the residents and less about the people who work here for temporary stints, or just visit here.

Con Ed does not take care of their sidewalks - there is often trash, debris and dangerous sidewalks and curb conditions. Vermin, long neglected trash and other discarded items become disintegrating dangerous conditions. This is especially true alongside the Con Ed building and the chain link fence near the transformers - it is a dumping ground for unwanted debris, discarded food, trash & unwanted belongs just dumped from the nearby storage facility. It needs to be cleaned, monitored and maintained.

There are long time residents of DUMBO who are not happy with the pedestrian only zones. These zones need to be open to vehicle traffic during rush hours (before 10am and then 4pm - 7pm) so that residents' cars, deliveries and emergency vehicles may pass unimpeded. Those who are calling for DUMBO to be an all pedestrian zone are either not residents or simply not informed about how a city works. Now, exiting the entire neighborhood at peak hours is an absolute nightmare because just outside of the neighborhood boundaries are ramps for entries & exits to bridges and the BQE - we need roads to drive on to simply get our families OUT (or into) of the area without waiting in a standstill queue with vehicles that are bridge or highway bound... one way streets need to be re-thought and made two way streets, pedestrian zones catering to TOURISTS and not RESIDENTS need to be re-thought with the needs of the people who live here and pay taxes coming FIRST.

The street is too narrow for two way traffic - the new sidewalk is too wide and parked or standing vehicles make roadway too narrow. Traffic is reduced to one land with cars jockeying for who will pass.

The sidewalk around the Olympia building is in very bad shape and difficult to navigate by wheelchair or with a stroller.
