There are so many empty parked cars and SUVs on the road. On a nice evening, I counted nearly 20-30 times more pedestrians than cars. Space should be allocated equitably and not for subsidized storage of private vehicles.
I was waiting for the B25 bus yesterday June 8 2024, and there was an illegally parked vehicle which prevented the bus from turning. The intersection should be redesigned so that it is impossible to illegally park.
Horrible intersection geometry and spacing. Contributes to a lot of backups in the neighborhood.
Very unutilized public space
Cars always back up here from the Brooklyn Bridge on ramp at Sands.
The new street light here is terrible. It’s poorly timed and only adds to traffic congestion and frustration in the neighborhood.
Need drop off space for 70 Washington Building. This is our main loading area for 250 units and there is not loading zone allocated for residents.
This is a residential block. Residents need better ability to get in and out of their buildings. More sidewalk space is necessary as well as adequate space for Car Share drop off.
Biking in this section is incredibly scary. The road always have potholes, so cars often have to swerve in and out of the lane. The bike lane is shared with cars, but its poorly marked, so cars just think you're riding in the middle of traffic. The rate of traffic is way to fast to share with bikes without any separation
This overpass should have anti-bird spikes installed on the areas above the sidewalks to prevent nesting birds from covering the sidewalk in poop. It smells terrible in the summer and is not a good look to have a poop-covered sidewalk directly visible as lots of tourists and visitors come off the Brooklyn Bridge.
