Bike lane up and down Bedford should be protected, it’s the main north-south bike route

The trees on this block have their roots bricked in- they provide little shade to pedestrians and it’s not good for the tree health

Drainage at this corner very poor, it’s a pool that forces you into Rogers in summer and impassable ice in winter

This intersection next to Grant Gore feels very dangerous given the two-way traffic, buses and bike lanes in place. It should benefit a lot from some safety updates from the DOT

Bedford Ave - Sterling Pl - St Johns Pl

I support the extension of the Bedford Avenue bike lane in this area to connect it with Eastern Parkway, even if it requires moving the B49 bus to an actual bus lane. Moving the bus to a nearby street will help make the Bedford Avenue safer both for pedestrians and cyclists while making the buses faster by using their own dedicated lanes

If the B49 bus stop is going to remain here then please invest in a decent bus stop shelter with seating and plan trees nearby for additional shade and coverage to make the wait more tolerable

Add seating in the bus stop for the many seniors that rely on the buses in this area. And please invest in public real interventions: this area severely lacks trees next to the bus stops to make the wait more bearable

Utica Ave - Herkimer St - Atlantic Ave

The experience of crossing Atlantic Avenue anywhere from Downtown Brooklyn is an absolute disgrace. It’s unsafe and dangerous for families, children, seniors and any pedestrian really. The City made big announcements about improving Atlantic Avenue last year but it remains a hellscape all across the board.
