Nostrand Ave - Sterling Pl - St Johns Pl

The signal timing on Nostrand is a little too fast for the B44 SBS. Often the bus will make it from Atlantic Avenue to St Johns Place where it hits a red light. If it could make it just one more block to Lincoln Place, it would speed up the travel time by at least a minute. Hitting the red light while at the bus stop would be an ideal use of time.

Washington Ave - Eastern Parkway - Eastern Parkway Bike Path

Washington Ave from the navy yard to the park (at least) could be one way, twinned with Clinton, and have a protected bike lane. There is no protected north-south route anywhere nearby.

Flatbush Ave - Grand Army Plaza Oval - East Drive

This is an excellent potential bike route. There is ample space and bike lanes increase safety for all road users and improve business conditions.

Cars run red lights when making a left turn from Parkside onto Ocean ave (Northbound) driving into a green pedestrian walk signal.

Peppas Chicken causes constant double and triple parking all day long. The bus is stuck there almost every time.

Accessibility

This street section has severe accessibility issues. Its hard to pass with a wheelchair, walker or stroller. The street vendors take over a significant portion of the sidewalk. Store use the sidewalk as storage space for their trash, speakers and work. It makes getting to the B41 bus stop difficult.

Bus Stuck in Traffic

Flatbush Ave - Parkside Ave - Clarkson Ave

Double parking, dollar vans and trucks block the B41 from entering and exiting the bus stops on either side of the street, forcing the bus (and other vehicles) into oncoming traffic lanes.
