Incredibly unsafe intersection for pedestrians and cyclists due to the lack of DOT investment in street improvement projects: daylighting, extended curbs, traffic calming measures…
B49 bus is frequently stuck in traffic in this stretch of Bedford Avenue due to the lack of bus lane. It would make sense to shift this line to the closest street with a proper bus lane or consider redesigning the stretch between Dean and Eastern Parkway to resolve this, also addressing the lack of protected bike lane connection with Prospect Park

no safe way to bike down Caton
Absolutely chaotic and unsafe on foot and on bike. Risked my life too many times and try to avoid it entirely whenever I can for my safety.
Bus is constantly stuck in traffic between ocean and flatbush. I've talked to many of us waiting at the bus stop about how unreliable it is!
Biking towards the park off Ocean and wanting to turn into the park is chaotic because of the shared road with the cars. There must be a better way for bike riders who are going up Ocean (toward the park) and want to turn into and enter the park. Always feels unsafe so I have to choose between risking injury or riding on the sidewalk.
This intersection is always a mess during commuting time when I need to access Parkside station. Cars always blocking.
Walking through this intersection always feels so chaotic.
Silly to add a bus lane here; it'll block the intersection for pedestrians and other traffic.
