I actively avoid crossing Atlantic Avenue after being in danger of being run over by trucks several times
A truck route next to several schools with no safety protection measures in place (daylighting, extended curbs, speed bumps). Why does the DOT not prioritize pedestrian safety?
B49 tends to get stuck in this area due to lack of dedicated bus lane and both avenues converging below
Can we please implement additional tree curbs in the area to allow for additional shade while passengers wait for their bus?
Implement extended curbs to improve pedestrian safety in the area
No street improvement project (SIP) investment from the DOT in this area despite having several schools nearby. Please invest in daylighting projects, extended curbs at the intersections and put measures in place to calm traffic and improve visibility next to the schools.
Frequent double parking of UPS vans on the bike lane right in front of their store
E/W PROTECTED bike lane(s) are in dire need for cyclists on Linden Blvd. There is ample space to install one without major construction.
This “park” cannot be used safely because of constant car traffic on all sides. Linden blvd, between Flatbush and Bedford should be permanently pedestrianized. Adding better signage for turning cars as well as speed bumps would help tremendously.
The westbound turning lane on Roger’s is constantly blocked by illegal parking.
