Parkside Ave - St Pauls Pl - East Drive

These buildings house a large number of residents and generate a substantial volume of trash each week. The bags are regularly piled along the sidewalk, often taking up nearly half of the walking space. They are unsightly, obstruct pedestrians, and attract rats, pigeons, and other animals. Removing a few parking spaces to install dedicated, containerized trash receptacles for these buildings would greatly improve the situation. It would keep the sidewalk clear, reduce litter and vermin, and make trash collection more orderly without interfering with pedestrian or vehicle traffic.

Lincoln Rd - Ocean Ave - Flatbush Ave

Get rid of the two way street and provide some relief for the buses that move through here. There's no reason for this street to exist in the current state that it is in. Get rid of the street parking here, make it only accessible for buses.

Empire Boulevard - Washington Ave - Flatbush Ave

This intersection is probably one of the most miserable dangerous intersections around Prospect Park. The bike lane ends abruptly, Ocean Avenue is significantly narrower than Empire Boulevard and Flatbush Avenue so cars squeeze and block the intersection frequently. There are busses here that can't get around. Overall, terrible intersection and as a result terrible experience for drivers, buses, pedestrians, and everyone in between.

Church Ave - East 17 St - East 18 St

The intersection of Church Ave and 18th St is incredibly hazardous and unfriendly for pedestrians. Cars regularly do not observe traffic lights and cross the intersection with pedestrians already in the intersection. The large number of illegal dollar cars operating and frequently doing U turns within the intersection add to the chaos. A lot of people commute via the B/Q station daily and we deserve an intersection that prioritizes us over drivers who do not follow the law.

Parkside Ave - St Pauls Pl - East Drive

Cars park in the bike lane near the entrance to the park, especially on weekends in the summer. It's already an area crowded with pedestrians, so the extra constraints on bikes feel especially unsafe. The cars parked in the bike lane limit cyclists' visibility of pedestrians and pedestrians' visibility of cyclists and force two directions of bike traffic into one bike lane.

Rogers Ave - Sullivan Pl - Montgomery St - Brooklyn

The B44 SBS often has to weave in and out of the bus lane because of parked cars or school buses in the bus lane.

Double Parking

East 18 St - Church Ave - Tennis Court

Cars constantly double and triple park here and it backs up into Church. A little enforcement will go along way here as well as some type of physical barrier to stop cars from illegally parking here.

Utica Ave - Avenue D - Foster Ave - Brooklyn

Changing the bus lanes along Utica will be problematic. It will increase congestion and take away parking that is already limited. The 46 local and SBS already run frequently and construction will slow it down. The proposed new lanes don't seem necessary.

Double Parking

Church Ave - Buckingham Rd - East 17 St

The double parking in front of Bobby's along this stretch of Church is a disaster. It's constantly gridlocked, especially when larger vehicles like buses, tractor-trailers, and delivery vehicles try to pass through. It's another problem along this stretch that could be improved with even a modest amount of enforcement
