The cars make aggressive left turns when pedestrians have the right of way, and it makes crossing the street scary. They should only be able to turn when they have a green light, and they should be ticketed for turning when it’s the pedestrian’s turn to cross.
More street trees please! This could be such a nice space but there is not enough shade.
B16 always stuck in traffic here
Please more B16s!!!!!! A bus that comes every 25 minutes is just not enough, and there is no other good way to get from one side of the park to the other.
The traffic situation for the B16 is so bad, especially all down Caton below the Parade Ground. Can there be a dedicated bus lane, or can Caton be a one way street? I could walk up and down that whole stretch between Ocean and Coney Island twice in the time it takes the bus to travel that distance in the morning rush hour.
The Parkside intersection is often dangerous for crossing pedestrians and cars block the box CONSTANTLY especially during rush hour. In the morning, cars that are driving west on Parkside are always stopping right in the middle of the intersection, preventing cars and buses from coming south on Ocean, leading to swerving, honking, late buses. This should also probably be the kind of intersection where it alternates cars, cars, pedestrians only -- or at least have improved turning lights/lanes and pedestrian safety measures. I know this corner is part of the big bike lane update so hoping it will get less scary!
Flatbush gets insanely wide down here and is like the wild west. It needs center-running protected bus lanes not just for the bus, but to calm the street
Sullivan definitely wide enough to support protected bike lanes, as are many of the blocks around Ebbets Field apartments
NEED a protected bike lane on Empire for safe access to the park
Incredibly busy corridor from Eastern Parkway to Atlantic - should absolutely be a busway with no through traffic for personal vehicles
