Pedestrian crossings here are hazardous, mainly due to the crowding of illegally parked cars around the Target. Parking enforcement needs to improve of course, but also road markers to prevent illegal parking.
Dollars vans constantly running red lights on Flatbush and Martense and Linden intersections. Very unsafe for pedestrians.
Dollar vans are always taking up this bus stop and making passengers walk into the street to board the bus.
Always many double and triple parked cars in front of Erasmus.
The public transportation church Ave is fine, but driving will be too congested. This is not a good idea
The same street should not be a bus route AND a bike route. It makes the road more dangerous for everyone, especially pedestrians. Both bikes and buses regularly run the red light to get through, I have almost been hit more than once.
Do not run large buses on narrow one-way residential streets. They are rarely, if ever, the origin or destination of the riders; they can't get around other vehicles double parked or stopped for loading/unloading leading to frustration honking, they threaten bikers, they are too noisy and large for the scale of the local environment, and their existence and routes are mysterious - known only to a few. Public transit needs to be intuitive!
"Dollar vans" (really unlicensed, even unregistered minibuses) are constantly interfering with B41 bus operation. They idle in bus stops blocking passenger loading, extend dwell time for buses, and generally slow everything down by being in the way and double parking. This needs NYPD enforcement!
Crossing Flatbush Ave. at foster to get to the Downtown B41/B103 stop requires waiting for 3 walk lights in a row. It’s completely crazy!
This intersection can be backed up with vehicles blocking the box. For example, drivers heading north on Utica Avenue will enter the intersection but get stuck blocking the westbound service road or even the north mall crosswalk.
