Smith St - Schermerhorn St - State St
I was driving there this week. The new traffic rules caused bumper to bumper traffic all the way from the BQE. it took me half an hour to drive a few blocks. All the intersections are grid locked. Each green light lets about five cars thru! What a nightmare!!!

Thank you for the Jay St Busway. As a disabled person the reduced traffic makes it easier to get into/out of a ride sharing taxi on the corner of Jay St and Concord.

Difficult Turn/Crossing

Jay St - Tillary St - Brooklyn
The new bus way may be nice for some but it is putting alot of traffic on Adams Street. It is very difficult to cross Tillary near Jay as the cars are all over the place and you can't see the bikes coming.

Corrections Department vans are turning from westbound Tillary on to southbound Adams and then left across the pedestrian median to get to the sally-port on Johnson Street, between Adams and Jay Streets. Not cool.

These road closures are detrimental to small, local businesses. Deliveries (DoorDash, GrubHub, etc.) are the most reliable source of revenue during these hard times and the closures make it impossible to continue surviving.

I am a business owner on Smith St. Times are very tough due to COVID-19 shutdowns. We are forced to cut back on every aspect possible. One of the ways is to get as much of the supplies myself instead of paying a premium having them delivered. Since the new bus and truck law went into effect this week, I cannot do that anymore! The surrounding traffic has halted to grind; it took me 30 minutes to travel a few blocks by car. And, when I finally reach the intersection at Smith and Livingston St, the traffic officers stopped me from going to my store half a block away. She threatens me with a citation if I continued to reason with her.
