NYC DOT is planning to install 150 sites over three years. Public input, design, and construction will take place on a rolling basis, with initial neighborhoods currently open for public comment and additional neighborhoods to come, focusing on areas that lack charging options and have lots of TLC-licensed drivers. If you don't see your neighborhood currently, you can reach out to your NYC DOT Borough Commissioner’s office here to let them know about your interest in curbside EV charging.
If you want to suggest other locations for consideration you can do so here. In most cases, DOT will identify and screen potential sites for feasibility in a neighborhood and present multiple options, which have already undergone environmental review, to the public for input, rather than taking individual site suggestions. DOT may consider suggestions for additional sites, which would require surveying for feasibility and suitability, assessing prioritization and if using federal funding, performing any supplemental activities for the site, to comply with requirements of NEPA, and then solicit public input, before considering for construction.

I live nearby, and there are a lot of businesses and residents nearby that could benefit. There are a lot of EV owners in this section of Greenpoint (east of McGuinness Boulevard)
Good proximity to Prospect Park entrance and GAP. Area has extremely high demand for EV chargers. This area of the neighborhood is also best able to absorb the addition of charging spots as there are only homes on one side of the street. This program is great wherever chargers are placed! Please keep up the good work! Thank you NYC and NYC DoT!

This location is well positioned to make public charging practical and accessible without requiring drivers to travel far from their daily destinations. Using this curb space for EV charging would turn an existing public resource into valuable clean-transportation infrastructure
