Combine BX6 with BX5 so that revised BX6 route would go from 158th Street/Riverside Drive, Manhattan to Pelman Bay Park Station and the Mall at Bay Plaza. Extend BX11 and/or BX35 south along Southern Blvd. to Food Center Drive, Hunts Point. and alternate other (BX11 or BX35) route would terminate near Bruncker Blvd./163rd Street to replace southern section of current BX6 route.

Don't forget to add bus lanes or a queue jump along Hunts Point Ave, west of Bruckner Blvd.

Select bus service will ONLY, I repeat only, help the bx6 if the buses will run more frequently. This bus line's passenger count was inconsiderately thought out. Ppl who live in this area have to get off before their actual stop many times because it ends up being faster to walk after paying $2.75 (which has the possibility of going up to $3 in March). This is on a regular weekday when the Yankees aren't even playing. If the buses will run far apart then thats just a secure way to make sure the bus will ride by upcoming stops reading "NEXT BUS PLEASE." Many people take this to hunts pt to avoid multiple transfers to reach the 6. Of course. Thanks.

It is redundant, both routes have a stop less than a block away, they are prone to causing traffic backups, barely any boarding or offboarding is done at this bus stop, the best alternative is to rip that pole out and remove that bus stop.

LED Streetlighting needed in this intersection to better increase the visibility of the intersecting streets, at night it is really unsafe and I feel that to promote safety for drivers and pedestrians the DOT needs to add LED Fixtures to this intersection.

Will articulated buses be able to navigate the turns from 155th to Broadway then to W156th then Riverside Drive, Riverside Dr. West, thru EMPlace and back to W155th?

The map is inaccurate here. The bus comes south on Broadway to 155th, not east on 155th to Broadway.

There is no doubt that the BX 6 needs bus lanes throughout. Considering peak traffic volumes, it might be better to place the bus lane along the curb (removing the parking), instead of making it offset (outside moving lane). Between Westchester Ave and Bruckner Blvd. Just ban parking for the times with the heaviest traffic volumes (7 AM-7 PM). Not many commercial businesses along this section, they could load/unload around the corner (in designated loading zones).

Girlfriend was hit by a car on this corner while riding a bicycle. Sideswiped by an erratic driver. Bus lanes could calm traffic and speed up bus. We could also use red light/speed cameras or some kind of CCTV because the driver blew the light and rode up Rogers Place in the wrong direction. Hit and run.
