E 163rd St especially is very wide to cross on foot at Westchester Ave. Intersection is dangerous.

Blocking the Box
Blocking the Box
East 163 St - Simpson St - Southern Boulevard

Blocking the box is frequent here. How about red light cameras or a change of signal timing to reduce volume at this location? This jams up the intersection of E 163rd and Southern Blvd for everyone.

Westchester Ave - Hewitt Pl - East 162 St

This intersection needs to be reconfigured with traffic calming in mind. Distances are too far to cross on foot and drivers erratically navigate the support pillars for the elevated subway above. It's a dangerous intersection for all users.

E 163rd St would benefit from bus only lanes from 7 am to 7 pm.
