The BX5 and BX 6 should be connected together or at least both receive the SBS treatment in order to have a more reasonable commute across the Southeast Bronx.

The BX6 would benefit from bus only lanes along E 163rd St. Heavy traffic.

Hunts Point Ave - Bruckner Boulevard - East 163 St

Traffic is extremely heavy at E 163rd St and both Southern Blvd and Bruckner Blvd. Although the entirely of E 163rd St between Westchester and Bruckner Blvd should receive bus only lanes, a mimimum of queue jumps is especially important at these two locations.

East 163 St - Simpson St - Southern Boulevard

The BX6 is always stuck in traffic along East 163rd Street. Please add bus only lanes between Westchester and Bruckner Blvd, in both directions.

Remove Bus Stop

For the select this stop should absolutely be removed. Local buses can stop here.

Bus Stop Needed

East 161 St - Sherman Ave - Morris Ave

Instead of having the bus stop between Sheridan and Sherman, the Courthouse bus stop needs to be between Sherman and Morris, across from the Courthouse itself. The Local bus stop can be at Morris or Sheridan.

Difficult Transfer

Southern Boulevard - Barretto St - Hunts Point Ave

At this stop the Select Bus Service should continue along the Bx5 route and make limited stops along that route to Bay Plaza. Local Service to Hunts Point can be made by a branch of the Bx13, and the Bx11/Bx35. Local service on the Bx5 should run from White Plains Road to Yankee Stadium.
