Bus Stuck in Traffic

Glenwood Rd - Nostrand Ave - East 31 St

The B6 is long overdue for bus improvements. Buses often bunch and run together, and many are Limited instead of local. For SBS to work on the B6, bus lanes and maintaining as many Limited stops as possible is important, but most importantly, the bottleneck in the area of Glenwood Road between Flatbush Avenue and Nostrand Avenue, the achilles heel of the B6 line, must be addressed. The Eastbound B6 local bust stop should be relocated to the farside and the SBS bus stop should be retained at the nearside stop. There should be a comprehensive look at the intersection of Nostrand Avenue and Flatbush Avenue as well, since the overflow from the red lights at that intersect affect the eastbound buses (and sometimes westbound buses) and their ability to clear the Glennwood/Flatbush intersection to continue to the Glenwood/Nostrand bus stop.
