This feedback map is for the 2023 Queens Citi Bike expansion, which focuses on Queens Community Boards 3 and 4. Neighborhoods in this area include Jackson Heights, Corona, Elmhurst, and East Elmhurst.

Recently, NYC DOT presented the draft plan presentations for Community Board 3 (PDF) and Community Board 4 (PDF). These maps show the planned locations for Citi Bike stations within these districts. I would definitely strongly recommend against this spot because a lot of retired, disabled, elderly, and car-dependent residents rely here for parking. Moreover, this area has been plagued by a high incidence of adult flashers, pepping toms, and sexual harrassers often harrassing the children in this school and around this neighborhood. Putting a bike dock here would unfortunately give sick people without cars access or would give them an excuse to hang around the bike dock and stalk children. By all means, I am not opposed to citibike, preferrably on the sidewalk along commercial strips like Astoria Boulevard or Northern Boulevard, but I would strong suggest against placing one here.
