Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.

Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. I live at 59 west 71st and ebikes are no longer allowed int he building so I desperately need a street shed. Thank you!!

Great access to bike infrastructure along Columbus and Central park here but many buildings don't have storage or elevators. We would love secure bike parking here!
The Hamilton Heights in Harlem would benefit greatly from a bike storage program. There are many apartment buildings and townhomes in the neighborhood that do not have bike storage available, making it difficult for residents to safely and conveniently own and use a bicycle. There are many bicyclists in the area, and I believe even more people would bike on a daily basis if they didn’t have to worry about leaving their bikes outside, carrying them up stairs in walk-up buildings, or storing them in already-small apartments. Our neighborhood was also part of the trash bin pilot program, so I think Hamilton Heights could be a great candidate for a similar bike storage initiative. One option could be converting an existing on-street parking space into secure bike storage or parking. This could provide a convenient, accessible option for residents while also encouraging more people to use bicycles for everyday transportation. There are many options in the area we could consider. I would personally use a bike storage space on a daily basis. At a minimum, I would be very interested in using one during the winter months when I am less likely to ride but still need a secure place to store my bike. I strongly support exploring a bike storage program in Hamilton Heights and believe it could make biking more practical and accessible for many residents.
