Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.
To add a suggestion, please select the most appropriate bike icon in the “select comment type” dropdown. Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. This is a major thoroughfare. The Bedford bike line that runs all the way to Williamsburg is here. And lots of bikers live in the neighborhood.
The area near this subway entrance has some underutilized space that could easily accommodate bike parking for park users (greenwood playground blacktop is where many kids learn to bike!) and commuters. If power is available, electric and large cargo bikes could be accommodated.
I’d love to see this whole intersection redesigned. It’s so unsafe. And add bike parking here. It’s a central hub for so many bikers in Flatbush and south brooklyn going up Bedford avenue.

Bike parking + daylighting at this corner
The bike racks in front of LifeTime are frequently full. There is plenty of curbspace, and we need more racks here!
Great idea!!
Plenty of space here for secure parking. Ideal for commuters on Metro North, shoppers, students, workers. Would also be ideal for deliveristas to re-charge e-bikes
