Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.

Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. secure bike parking by pretty much all the LIRR stations would be extremely great and helpful for commuting purpose! East Queens doesn't even have access to citibikes so things like this is even more important. People still steal bikes in this area so a secured parking is a must.

Short term - many businesses and destinations in the area with poor transit access
Even having just one simple circle NYC DOT bike rack on this block would be great. All there is just 2-3 street parking signs that I lock my bike to. (Also, does anybody else notice that the bike racks in front of the Brower Park Library are taken up by bikes covered in dust? I feel like people are using it as a long-term storage solution for their own bikes — there is never any space to lock a bike there. It could be helpful to have someone monitor for bikes locked there for weeks — or have signs for no overnight bike parking at the library?)
