I add my endorsement to another suggestion to have bike parking here. Right next to Franklin Street Subway station and on a part of the street that does not see motor traffic.
Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.
To add a suggestion, please select the most appropriate bike icon in the “select comment type” dropdown. Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. If you're having trouble with adding your comments, please review "Feedback Map Instructions" or you can email your suggestions to SecureBikeParkingNYC@dot.nyc.gov.

Short-term parking. Close to many offices and banks. There is bike parking around there but I don't feel secure leaving my bike out since it's a more expensive bike with easily removable wheels and seat.
Short-term parking to go to the beach. Coney Island Open Water Swimmers meet around here. If biking from another borough, would be nice to securely park the bike here to swim. Tire pump would be nice as well since if coming from the Bronx, it's a long way the change of tire air loss might be higher.
Short-term parking for delivery e-bikes and grocery shoppers at the Bronx Terminal Market.
Short-term parking to be able to walk around this neighborhood and visit the restaurants or to visit this side of the park.
Short-term parking or weekends. Common entry point. Can park here and run the upper, less congested area of Central Park. Close to Museums and resaturants.
E-bike shop is here with lots of bikes around. Long-term storage for e-bikes with e-bike battery charging and tire pumps to complement the business.
Bike parking near the YMCA would be great for people to cascade healthy behaviors (biking with strength training, basketball, swimming, etc.)
Dens residential area that’s super bike friendly but not a lot of bike storage options
Regular touring bicycle
