Very frequent start & end point for bike trips
Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.
To add a suggestion, please select the most appropriate bike icon in the “select comment type” dropdown. Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. If you're having trouble with adding your comments, please review "Feedback Map Instructions" or you can email your suggestions to NYC SecureBikeParking@dot.nyc.gov.
Very frequent start & end point for bike trips
This street is both a medium-theft location, and in the summertime has up to 25 bikes chained to fences. We have very high bike ridership and there are no bike racks on this street which means the sidewalk becomes very cluttered with bikes. Additionally, the majority of the apartments on this street are rather old - have very narrow hallways, and it makes taking bikes inside and outside rather dangerous.
This is an active bike corridor, despite not being marked in blue as a protected bike lane
West Harlem would be a great location. It’s a popular biking area.

Eastern Parkway is a major bike corridor
This is a high traffic commuter area with many people who could bike here from areas further away but do not because of the lack of bike parking.
Employees at both of these buildings (including City employees) and students in one building ride bikes to school and the existing stands are crowded.
Much needed e-bike storage on 50th between 9th and 10th. The school allows for a lot of vacat space that this could go on!
