There is a lot of room on this block under the Williamsburg bridge. The fenced off area is a park but is being used as a DOT parking facility. Give us back our park and add protected bike parking to this block.
Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.
To add a suggestion, please select the most appropriate bike icon in the “select comment type” dropdown. Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. If you're having trouble with adding your comments, please review "Feedback Map Instructions" or you can email your suggestions to NYC SecureBikeParking@dot.nyc.gov.

PS 84 wants to do a bike bus on Berry but does not have dedicated bike parking.
Bike parking would be transformational, here, as it would in other neighborhoods with longterm residents and young people renting in walk-up apartment buildings (especially tenements and brownstone/townhouses)--neighborhoods like Bed-Stuy, Crown Heights, Prospect Heights, Bushwick, Wash Hts/Inwood, Harlem, Hells Kitchen/Chelsea, East Village/Lower East Side. I think residential bike parking should be concentrated in those areas.
