Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.

This area has ample families with kids that leverage (or would like to) cargo e-bikes to get around, but most homes aren’t conducive for storing them. It’s also far from public transit.

The landlord at 27 Crooke Ave just removed a tree and cemented the yard adjacent to the building. It would be a great location for an electric bike enclosure.
Brooklyn Heights is filled with walkups, which have stairwells too tight to get bikes into an apartment and the Fire Department has banned residents from using the building foyers to store bikes. We need more bike storage and secure bike storage.
Many people ride bikes in this area, such as along the 34th Ave. Open Street. A tire pump/bike repair station would be very handy. There's a small cul-de-sac just north of Travers Park where Citibike has a dock; this would also be a fine place for a tire pump/bike repair station, as there's usually room to set out a bike and tools without getting in the way of other people enjoying the park, Open Street, and so on.
Local organizations hold events at the World's Fair Marina, such as candidate forums before an election. Currently there is no bike parking there, making it very difficult to get there by riding my bicycle even part of the way.
Great Place for bike parking
We have a lot of bicyclists on our block who need more bike parking. A bike locker for long term storage would be amazing and so useful to this block.
Great corner with lot's of bike traffic, NYU students live around there. Citibike station nearby shows what a central anchor point this corner is.
The NY Society for Ethical Culture of which I'm a trustee would very much appreciate a bicycle parking rack at the south side of W 64 St near CPW as a number of our members and their children bicycle to the Society to attend its programs. Thank you for your consideration!
