Would love secure bike parking outside the Bayside LIRR (any and every LIRR stop really). Lots of car congestion in the area from people getting picked up.
Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.
To add a suggestion, please select the most appropriate bike icon in the “select comment type” dropdown. Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. If you're having trouble with adding your comments, please review "Feedback Map Instructions" or you can email your suggestions to SecureBikeParkingNYC@dot.nyc.gov.

We need secure bike parking at the Metro North Station at 125th Street and Park Ave.
People from Morris Park and Throggs Neck bike from home to the train.
Bike parking in this general area would be very useful for workers commuting to the various shops and establishment around Dyckman St, Broadway, and Sherman Ave.
Bike parking in this general area for students, faculty, and staff at CCNY.
I am a resident of Tudor City in Manhattan (10017), where many of the residential buildings date to the 1920s and were not designed with bicycle storage facilities. As cycling and micromobility use continue to increase among residents and commuters, there is growing demand for secure bicycle parking in the neighborhood. Many residents currently have no practical or secure option for storing bicycles, particularly in smaller prewar apartments. The area around Tudor City and Grand Central also experiences significant bicycle theft concerns, making standard sidewalk racks insufficient for many commuters and residents who rely on bicycles for daily transportation. Tudor City would be an excellent candidate for a secure enclosed bike parking installation because of: proximity to Grand Central Terminal and major transit connections, high residential density, limited off-street bicycle storage, increasing commuter cycling usage, and strong demand for sustainable transportation options. Potential locations could include curbside space near Tudor City Place, East 42nd Street, or nearby transit access corridors where bike demand is already visible. A secure bike parking pod in this area would support residents, reduce sidewalk clutter, encourage sustainable transportation, and improve the overall streetscape. Thank you for considering this neighborhood for the program.
