Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.

Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. Secure bike parking at Barclays would be great not only for people who attend events but for people who are coming to Downtown Brooklyn and want to get there via their personal bike and feel safe about leaving it secured while attending and event or shopping or dining or whatever they may be doing!
Bike parking in front of Dean playground would be great and would be highly used by the neighborhood! Additional thoughts about the area for improved bike and pedestrian safety: The fire department and police department often times have vehicles parked on the sidewalk in the area which should be minimized to increase pedestrian and bike safety. Dean street has had a DEP project that ripped up the sidewalk and needs to be repaved and smoothed over. The pavement is bumpy and unsafe for biking.
Would love ebike or cargo bike storage here. There are very few bike parking spots in this area, and the few that exist are overwhelmed with delivery bikes. This would be a nice alternative as most co-ops around here don't allow ebike or cargo bikes.
This area is perfect, out of the way from drivers. This area is hard on parking already with numerous of people saving spots when it comes to street cleaning they just move for a minute max. Plus this neighborhood has a lot of food delivery workers chaining their bike to tree fences. Plus they have bikes that have been abandoned that still chained up.

This is a busy deliverista hub that could benefit from bike parking. Thank you!
Long term bike parking would be excellent really anywhere in this area. Plenty of walkup buildings where people just have to haul bikes up and down stairs/stoops
Multiple locations on 43rd ave and Skillman
Perfect place for commuters to securely lock up their bikes.
Great crosstown bidrectional bike lane in east Harlem with connection to Central Park and the 2nd/3rd avenue bike lanes. Very close proximity to multiple schools for kids to ride. 3 blocks from the 6 train stop on 103rd and multiple bus connections downtown and crosstown.
