Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.
To add a suggestion, please select the most appropriate bike icon in the “select comment type” dropdown. Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. If you're having trouble with adding your comments, please review "Feedback Map Instructions" or you can email your suggestions to NYC SecureBikeParking@dot.nyc.gov.

There should be enough bike lockers in front of LC to house 500 bikes
Do not clutter up this prime pedestrian space with bike storage. Place it on side streets where it will be out of the way.
I am recommending the installation of Category 4 Self-Locking Docks at this location to support the high volume of Electric Bike users in the area. This site is a major transit and commercial junction where commuters and local delivery workers frequently transition between bikes, the LIRR, and bus lines. Providing secure docks with integrated charging ports would address a critical infrastructure gap, allowing residents to safely park and power their e-micromobility devices while accessing the station and nearby businesses. The wide sidewalk at the plaza provides ample space for these structures without impeding pedestrian movement
indoor lockable bike and class 1&2 e-bike storage for the people! (like that cube on canal street please)
The area beneath the overpass would be ideal for bike storage as it is out of the way and would not encroach on limited pedestrian space.
cargo bike commuters in this neighborhood, which has good access to the greenways, often don't have a safe space to store electric cargo bikes in their buildings, largely built in the 1930s
Underneath this footpath would be a good location for bike storage as it is out of the way and not imposing on an area heavily used by pedestrians. It is also not taking up valuable park space.
Also add bike parking near all NYC Ferry Docks so people can bike to and from the Ferry.
"I am recommending the installation of Category 4 Self-Locking Docks with e-micromobility charging ports at the wide sidewalk area adjacent to Queens Village Veterans Plaza along Amboy Lane. This location is a high-traffic transit and commercial hub that would benefit significantly from secure, short-term bike parking. Providing self-locking docks here would: Support Commuters: Offer a secure "last-mile" connection for those using the Queens Village LIRR station and nearby bus lines. Encourage Local Business: Allow residents and delivery workers to securely park and charge e-bikes while accessing the shops and restaurants along Jamaica Avenue. Utilize Available Space: The existing wide sidewalk at the Plaza provides ample room for these structures without obstructing pedestrian flow. Adding secure parking at this junction will directly support the growing cycling community in Queens Village and improve safety and convenience for all micromobility users
