Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.
To add a suggestion, please select the most appropriate bike icon in the “select comment type” dropdown. Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. Lots of families and commuters in the area who use e-bikes, so this would be a great place to install a storage structure that is near the subway and close to a citibike parking dock.
We have about 7 bikes in our building that residents currently keep in the basement and need to carry up 2 flights of stairs which becomes a deterrent to riding. Having a secure place out front would be very beneficial! - 702 Hancock community
Please do not clutter up this narrow street area next to the park with a bike station. Place it somewhere that is is out of the way.

I think Strauss Square would be a perfect spot for secure bike parking given that it's already a bike hub, and it's a mostly open space still. I would fully support any type of storage here (regular bike, e-bike, etc).
This is great destination for cyclists and so it would be great to have a safe place to lock up bikes while exploring the park.
Lots of cyclists in the area. There is also a bike store nearby.
