Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.
To add a suggestion, please select the most appropriate bike icon in the “select comment type” dropdown. Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. If you're having trouble with adding your comments, please review "Feedback Map Instructions" or you can email your suggestions to NYC SecureBikeParking@dot.nyc.gov.

key place for bike parking
The 9th Ave D stop is a gateway to a number of areas underserved by subway and Citibike. Adding a shed here would enable a good amount of bike - subway combination trips, which are very convenient.
Would be great to have secure cargo bike parking at larger destination-type supermarkets (Whole Foods, Wegmans) as well as weekly farmers' market locations (Union Square, Tompkins, Grand Army etc). Would also be great to have secure bike parking near schools so parents can drop off kids and leave bikes for the day to commute to their office on subway.
I live by here and know several other cyclists who live by here.
Long-term standard bike secure parking on popular commuting route to manhatttan, situated in residential and pratt student area, can add to small microhub of alternate modes with on-street citibike and zipcar (in lafayete houses parking lot)
Would vastly increase the accessibility of the B and Q trains to have bike storage at Newkirk Plaza. Residents could bike to the station rather than relying on the extremely oversubscribed B8

It would be extremely convenient for myself and my fellow commuters to have a bike parking station by the Kings highway Q/B stop. It would allow people in the nearby subway deserts to bike to the station, reducing overcrowding on the buses.
