Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.
To add a suggestion, please select the most appropriate bike icon in the “select comment type” dropdown. Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. If you're having trouble with adding your comments, please review "Feedback Map Instructions" or you can email your suggestions to SecureBikeParkingNYC@dot.nyc.gov.

Float my GOAT
This is another highly frequented area, especially outside the happier grocery and lucia pizza, that has a lack of bike parking.
There is a general lack of bike parking in this area despite it being a major creative work and entertainment hub
Outside Hunter College, many low income students frequent this area with no place to securely park their bikes. That deters a of of students from riding because thieves know a bike is typically going to be left unattended for 2+ hours while a student is in classes. In addition, since only the local 6 serves this station, any sort of delay is crippling to students.
Secure biking outside tompkins sq park, not just a lot of visitors to the park, but residents in older walk-up buildings without dedicated bike rooms or elevators
